Title : The forum SOP
Post 1—
Have no fear.
The following rules are just for the guidance of the members, not for strict obedience.
But keep in mind that abiding by these simple protocols will keep your forum clean and smooth running.
Post 2—
General rules:
• All present and past cadets of AFMC are eligible for membership
• Cadets must register (which is very simple( in order to access the forum boards.
• New members must make a post in the “Say Hi” section mentioning his/her full name, MC number, batch and present status (student/intern/ex-cadet).
Post 3—
Posting rules:
• Members can open a topic on any subject they wish – but it must be in the relevant board (eg. You cannot open a joke thread in the music section or so)
• You can reply to a topic other members have opened. Make this a habit as this will increase your post count and total forum point.
• You can say whether you like or dislike a post by another member. But no personal attacks are allowed in the open forum.
• You can post photos, videos, stories, interesting case discussions, post-graduate training courses in respective boards.
• You can open a voting poll in the “Poll” section. An example of an ideal poll may be: Do you want common dormitory for male and female cadets in AFMC? 1. Yes, 2. No, 3. Can’t decide.
Post 4—
Forum hierarchy:
• Just to make things a bit more interesting, all forums categorize the members, so have the forum AFMC (although all of us have equal right here)
• New member – 1-49 posts
• Forum regular – 50-99 posts
• Forum lover – 100-199 posts
• Senior member – 200-299 posts
• Addicted – 300-399 posts
• Pro – 400-499 posts
• Forum legend – 500 or more posts
Special ranks in the forum:
• Forum mercenaries – Volunteers from each batch (may be more than one from a batch) who will help that the routine forum works smoothly. In case of any problem found, they will report to the moderators or batch leaders.
• Batch leaders – Each batch will have a single batch leader who will be responsible for coordination and liaison between the batch members. They have the mercenaries to assist them.
• Moderators – Mods are selected board per basis. That is each board of the forum will have 1-2 mods who can edit, modify or even delete threads/posts in that particular board. In other boards, they will be just like other members.
• Senior moderators – Moderator of the moderators, in simple words. They have moderation capability in all boards of the forum.
• Administrator – Admin will look after the legal and technical issues, domain maintenance, server maintenance etc.
Post 5—
Problems?-
• When you face one, contact your respective batch leader, forum mercenaries or any of the mods through PM.
• You can also open a topic in the “Support & query” section clearly stating the problem so that anyone with the solution can help you.
Title : The don’t do’s
Almost everything is allowed in forum AFMC (as was in the college). Just avoid these few things
• This forum has absolute porn-free status. It means no posting of porn material, name of porn sites or abusive language.
• Any such content will result in automatic banning of the guilty member. However, open discussions on any adult topic is welcome in the “Hot spot” board. Just keep in mind – “Adult manei jounota noy”
• No personal attacks in open forum. Any personal problems must be solved thorugh private messaging (PM) or outside the forum.
• No spamming. Don’t flood the forum with useless, junk posts. This is a non-paying forum and our server capacity is limited. Make the best use of it.
